This festive Christmas Pizza features a rich garlic white sauce, customizable holiday-themed shapes, and gooey melted cheese. It’s a fun, flavorful twist on traditional pizza that adds cheer to any holiday gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1½ teaspoons jarred minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt, to taste
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional: sliced olives, diced bell peppers, fresh basil, pesto

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk in 2 tablespoons flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  3. Slowly add 1½ cups heavy cream while whisking continuously until smooth.
  4. Stir in 1½ teaspoons minced garlic, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out 1 pound of dough to ¼-inch thickness.
  7. Cut into holiday shapes like trees or stars using a knife or scissors.
  8. Transfer shapes to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  9. Spoon sauce over each shape, leaving a small border.
  10. Top with 1½ cups shredded mozzarella and any additional toppings.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 500°F (260°C) for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  12. Cool slightly before serving.
