Oatmeal Apple Breakfast Bake

A warm and comforting breakfast dish made with oats, fresh apples, and cozy spices. Perfect for make-ahead meals or lazy weekend mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1½ cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add chopped nuts if using.
  4. Fold the diced apples into the dry mixture.
  5. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
