These Festive Oreo Balls for Christmas are no-bake chocolate truffles made with crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and a chocolate coating. They’re easy to customize with holiday toppings and perfect for gifting, parties, or family treats.

Ingredients

  • 36 Oreo cookies (regular, not Double Stuf)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips or candy melts (for coating)
  • Christmas-themed sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or colored sanding sugar (for decoration)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Place Oreo cookies in a food processor or blender and pulse until finely crushed into crumbs.
  2. Transfer Oreo crumbs to a large mixing bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mix with a hand mixer until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls with your hands.
  4. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. While chilling, melt chocolate chips or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, coating fully. Tap off excess chocolate and place back on parchment paper.
  7. While the chocolate is still wet, decorate with sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or drizzle with melted white chocolate if desired.
  8. Allow the chocolate coating to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until firm.

Notes

  • If you don’t have a food processor, crush Oreos in a ziplock bag using a rolling pin.
  • Use Mint, Red Velvet, or Golden Oreos for different flavor variations.
  • To make the chocolate coating shinier, stir in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil while melting.
  • You can freeze the uncoated Oreo balls and dip them later for fresh serving.
