Oreo Cookie Balls are a quick, no-bake dessert made with crushed Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and chocolate. These truffle-style treats are creamy on the inside with a crisp chocolate shell, making them perfect for parties, holidays, or edible gifts.

Ingredients

  • 30 regular Oreo cookies
  • 6 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz chocolate of choice (dark, white, or semi-sweet)
  • Optional: sprinkles, crushed Oreo pieces, or additional melted chocolate for decoration

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until finely ground.
  3. Add cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and blend until smooth and fully combined. Add more cream cheese in small increments if the mixture is too dry.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill the balls in the refrigerator or freezer for 20 minutes until firm.
  6. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 20-second increments, stirring between each, until smooth.
  7. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off, then place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  8. Decorate with toppings immediately while the chocolate is still wet.
  9. Chill the coated balls again for 15 minutes until the chocolate is set.

Notes

  • Use a cookie scoop for evenly sized truffles.
  • Bar chocolate melts better than chocolate chips due to fewer stabilizers.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
  • To make gluten-free, use gluten-free Oreo cookies.
