Pizza Bread Parcel is a quick and cheesy snack made with flattened bread slices filled with paneer, vegetables, pizza sauce, and melted mozzarella. Baked until golden brown, it offers the flavor of pizza in a crispy, handheld form. This easy recipe is ideal for parties, kids’ tiffins, or a simple comfort snack ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 5–6 white bread slices
  • 5 tbsp paneer, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp capsicum, chopped
  • 3 tbsp tomato, chopped
  • 3 tbsp onion, chopped
  • 3 tbsp mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • Extra mozzarella cheese, as needed
  • Red chili flakes, to taste
  • 5–6 toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes to ensure even baking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine paneer, capsicum, tomato, onion, mozzarella, pizza sauce, oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, blend the softened butter and garlic paste to prepare the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Using a rolling pin, flatten each bread slice evenly, taking care not to tear it.
  5. Brush one side of the bread with garlic butter and place a spoonful of the filling diagonally across the buttered side.
  6. Sprinkle a little extra mozzarella and chili flakes over the filling.
  7. Fold the bread diagonally into a triangle, sealing the edges firmly or securing them with toothpicks.
  8. Arrange the parcels on a parchment-lined baking tray and bake at 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
  9. Remove from the oven, take out the toothpicks, and serve hot with pizza sauce or ketchup.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, use tofu instead of paneer and plant-based butter and cheese.
  • Air fry the parcels at 180°C for 10–12 minutes if you prefer a faster method.
  • Ensure the vegetables are dry to prevent sogginess.
  • Brush extra garlic butter midway through baking for a shinier crust.
