Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s a bright, fruity drink perfect for summer gatherings or an afternoon treat. Naturally vegan and gluten-free, this mocktail offers a clean, crisp flavor that everyone can enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 2/3 cup (160 ml) fresh lime juice (about 4–5 limes)
  • 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 3 cups (720 ml) cold water, divided
  • Ice cubes, for serving
  • Fresh strawberry slices, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for garnish
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the strawberries, sugar, and 1/2 cup (120 ml) of cold water in a blender. Blend until smooth and thick, about 30 seconds.
  2. Optional: Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds for a smoother texture.
  3. Add the fresh lime juice and remaining 2 1/2 cups (600 ml) of cold water to the puree. Stir well to combine.
  4. Taste and adjust for sweetness or tartness by adding a bit more sugar or lime juice as needed.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled mocktail over, and garnish with lime wedges, strawberry slices, and mint leaves.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace 1 cup of cold water with sparkling water or club soda.
  • To make a sugar-free option, use stevia or monk fruit sweetener instead of sugar.
  • Use frozen strawberries (thawed) for convenience or a thicker texture.
  • The drink can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze leftovers in ice cube trays for up to 3 months and add to sparkling water for quick refreshment.
