A festive main dish featuring juicy turkey breast roasted with a sweet and tangy cranberry-orange glaze. Perfect for small holiday gatherings or cozy dinners, this recipe delivers vibrant flavor with minimal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 turkey breast (2–3 pounds)
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 orange, juiced and zested
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup cranberry sauce, juice and zest of 1 orange, and 2 tablespoons honey until smooth.
  3. Rub turkey breast with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Place turkey in a 9×13-inch baking dish, skin-side up if applicable.
  5. Pour the glaze evenly over the turkey to coat it completely.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, basting halfway through with pan juices and glaze.
  7. Check that internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If not, continue baking and check every 10 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and let the turkey rest for 10 minutes.
  9. Slice against the grain and serve with additional glaze if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute honey with maple syrup or agave for a vegan-friendly option.
  • Add fresh rosemary or thyme to the glaze for a herbaceous twist.
  • Broil for 2–3 minutes at the end of cooking for a caramelized finish.
