  • 74 g Pistachios (about ½ cup + 1½ Tbsp)
  • ¼ cup Vanilla Protein Powder (Whey-casein, 22g)
  • 100 ml Almond Milk (about ⅓ cup + 1½ Tbsp)
  • tsp Matcha Powder

  • Blanch and peel the pistachios: Boil about 2 cups water in a small pot. Add pistachios and blanch for about 30 seconds. Drain and rinse with cold water. Peel off the skins by rubbing them in a kitchen towel.
  • Place pistachios in food processor or blender and process until crumbled.
  • Add protein powder and milk (start with about half) and process until smooth.
  • Optional: Add matcha powder for the bright green color and earthy taste.
  • Blend to get the desired consistency. Add more or less milk as needed to make it thinner or thicker.
