Ingredients
- 1 cup (240ml) freshly brewed strong dark roast coffee
- 2 oz (60ml) Irish whiskey (e.g., Jameson or Bushmills)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream (full-fat)
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon Irish whiskey for the cream
Instructions
Brew 1 cup (240ml) of strong, hot dark roast coffee and pour it into a heatproof glass mug.
Stir in 2 oz (60ml) Irish whiskey and 1 tablespoon brown sugar while the coffee is hot until the sugar dissolves completely.
While the coffee brews, pour ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream into a small mixing bowl. Add 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon Irish whiskey. Whip with a hand mixer or whisk until soft peaks form, ensuring the cream is fluffy but still pourable.
Slowly pour the whipped whiskey cream over the back of a spoon held just above the coffee’s surface to float the cream on top.
Serve immediately, sipping the coffee through the whiskey cream topping. Optionally, sprinkle a tiny pinch of cocoa powder or nutmeg on top.
